1. a) No, the children are not receiving a good education. According to the letter, there is only one teacher, Mrs Da Silva, who teaches all the children aged 7 to 11 at the same time. Because of this, the school day is only four hours long, and the teacher is too busy to give each child the individual help they need. Additionally, Mrs Da Silva is not well-paid and receives no support, which affects the quality of education. 

Нет, дети не получают хорошего образования. Согласно письму, есть только один учитель, г-жа Да Силва, которая обучает всех детей в возрасте от 7 до 11 лет одновременно. Из-за этого школьный день длится всего четыре часа, и учитель слишком занят, чтобы оказать каждому ребенку индивидуальную помощь, в которой он нуждается. Кроме того, г-жа Да Силва не получает хорошей зарплаты и не получает никакой поддержки, что влияет на качество образования.
