Sasha: I wrote to Mother. She says I can live with her in Kharkov. I want to go next month.
Olenka: But…but your studies! The gymnasium here is the best! Who’ll wake you for school? Pack your lunches? Look, I bought your favorite apricot jam today…
Sasha: Stop it! You smother me! Mother doesn’t make me recite fables at breakfast or follow me like a…a watchdog!
Olenka: You… you think I’m just a bother? Who sat up nights when you had a fever? Who begged the headmaster not to expel you?
Sasha: I’m NOT YOUR SON! I need… I need to be with my mother.
