Despite White Fang’s wild nature, the master’s calm and kind approach helped White Fang feel safe and willing to obey. The master’s concern for White Fang’s well-being and his commands given with care created trust. This trust turned into affection and faithfulness, as White Fang recognized the master’s good intentions and responded with loyalty.
