Besides, Paul Cézanne used bright colours and sharp lines to give the castle extra volume in the overall composition.
In Montagne Sainte-Victoire (B), the mountain, trees, and fields are depicted as if seen from multiple viewpoints. The landscape seems to flatten and tilt, so you notice the details in the hills, the sky, and the fields all at once, rather than focusing on just the mountain.
