Text A
- only child — a person who has no brothers or sisters (единственный ребенок)
She is an only child, so her parents give her a lot of attention.
- policy — a set of rules or guidelines followed by a family, organization, or government (политика, правило)
Their family policy is to always eat dinner together.
- honour — respect given to someone who is admired or has high status (честь, уважение)
Также honour может выступать в качестве глагола “уважать”, “чтить”
In some cultures, children must honour their elders.
We fought for the honour of our country.
- elders — older people, especially those with authority or wisdom in a family or community (старшие, пожилые)
The elders in the village make important decisions.
