Short forms  Letter A uses many contractions («I’ve,» «don’t,» «it’s») Letter B uses none.
Colloquial language  Letter A uses informal words and phrases («pals,» «bunking off,» «cool,» «help you out,» «works out») Letter B uses formal vocabulary («in the hope that,» «dissatisfied,» «cosmetic surgery») 
Phrasal verbs   Letter A includes «drop you a line» and «works out.» Letter B has none.
Idioms  Letter A uses the idiom «good company.»  Letter B contains no clear idioms.
Polite language  Letter A shows friendliness but is less formally polite. Letter B uses significantly more polite language («I would really appreciate it,» «I look forward to your reply»)
Full forms  Letter A uses many contractions (short forms) Letter B consistently uses full verb forms
