Условие

In pairs, take the roles of Pip and the convict and act out their dialogue in the graveyard. Change the ending.

Convict: (suddenly pauses, noticing Pip’s trembling)

Pip: (whispers) «Please, sir… I — I haven’t got anyone. My parents are buried here.»

Convict: (sighs, voice softening) «Aye, lad. I’ve none either.» (releases Pip’s shoulder) «Run on home. Forget you saw me.»

Pip: (hesitates) «But… you’re hurt. I could bring you bread…»

Convict: (shaking head) «No. This world’s cruel enough without dragging kids into it.» (disappears into the fog).
