Решение #1

Sunday, 2nd September 1666

Last night, I awoke to the smell of smoke and distant cries. A fire has broken out near Pudding Lane, at the bakery of Thomas Farriner. The flames spread quickly through the narrow streets, fueled by the dry wood and strong wind. I climbed to a high place near the Tower and saw a terrible sight — houses ablaze on both sides of London Bridge. People are frantically trying to save their belongings, throwing goods into the river or onto boats. Many poor souls stay in their homes until the fire is upon them, then flee in panic. The city is in chaos, and the fire shows no sign of stopping.

Monday, 3rd September 1666

The fire rages on with dreadful fury. Over 300 houses have been destroyed already, and it spreads further each hour. The Mayor has tried to order houses to be pulled down to stop the flames, but the people are slow to obey. I saw churches and warehouses filled with flammable goods like oil and tar, making the fire even worse. The smoke darkens the sky, and the heat is unbearable. Many families have lost everything and wander the streets homeless. I pray this nightmare will soon end.

Tuesday, 4th September 1666

The destruction continues. The fire has consumed thousands of homes and many churches, including St. Magnus and Fish Street. The streets are filled with frightened people carrying what little they could save. I witnessed brave men using buckets of water to fight the flames, but the fire is relentless. The wind drives the fire through the city like a living beast. I fear for the future of London and all who live here.

Wednesday, 5th September 1666

At last, the winds have begun to die down. The fire’s fury lessens, and the tireless efforts of the firefighters and citizens are slowly gaining ground. Still, the devastation is immense — much of the city lies in ashes. The once bustling streets are now silent and empty. I am thankful to be alive but mourn the loss of so many homes and landmarks. The air is thick with smoke and sorrow.

Thursday, 6th September 1666

The fire is finally extinguished. The city is a shadow of its former self, with five-sixths of London destroyed. Over 13,000 houses and 87 churches lie in ruins. The great St. Paul’s Cathedral has been lost to the flames. Miraculously, few lives were lost, though many are homeless and grieving. As I walk through the ashes, I vow to help rebuild our city and restore hope to its people.
