Such is used with uncountable nouns (“such a lovely scenery”) and with countable noun phrases introduced by “a lot of” («such a lot of wild flowers»)

So few is a quantifier. Few is used with countable nouns, and so intensifies it

It was a long way to get to the party, and even before I arrived, I knew it was going to be a bad time. As I walked up the driveway, I could already hear the loud music.  Then, when I got inside, there were so many people crammed into the small space that it felt overcrowded. It was incredibly noisy. I couldn’t even hear myself think, let alone have a conversation.

The awful food was barely edible — dry, tasteless sandwiches and a lumpy potato salad that was as cold as the evening air. I tried to engage in some conversations, but frankly, it was hard to be anything other than bored. Everyone was shouting over the loud music, and the only topics of conversation were gossip and meaningless small talk.
